Cost Per Wear Calculator

Cost per wear = (price + care costs − resale value) ÷ number of wears. Enter your honest guess for wears over the item’s life.

How it works

We add the price and total care cost, subtract any resale value and divide by the number of wears. “Wears to reach ₹100 a wear” and the 1/5/10/20/50/100-wear table show how quickly the price fades.

Frequently asked questions

What is a good cost per wear?

Under ₹50 is excellent for daily basics, ₹50–150 is good, and ₹500+ means the piece is a statement or occasion item.

How many wears should I assume?

Be conservative. If you wear a piece weekly for a season, that is roughly 12 to 25 wears a year.

Should I count alterations?

Yes, add them to the price.
