Capsule Wardrobe Calculator
Count only pieces that fit and that you love wearing. We multiply what goes together, then tell you which single purchase adds the most outfits.
How it works
Outfits = (tops × bottoms + dresses) × (layers + 1), because each look can be worn with or without a layer. Shoes are shown separately; most people only pair two or three styles with a given outfit.
The “best next buy” compares what one extra top, bottom, dress or layer would add.
Frequently asked questions
Do all combinations actually work?
Not all. Treat the number as a ceiling and aim for pieces in a shared palette so most combinations do.
What is a capsule wardrobe?
A small set of versatile pieces that mix and match, often 25–40 items per season.
Should I count accessories?
They change the look but not the outfit count, so we leave them out.
